We hit the ground running in Phoenix for the World Parkinson's Congress from May 24-27, interacting with hundreds of patients, caregivers, researchers, and providers. We immersed ourselves in 3 roundtable discussions on the prodromal aspects of PD, how to maximize the impact of exercise, and the impact of inflammation in the disease process. Notably, we also presented two posters that featured our cross-species translational work on exercise impact on dopamine neurons against blood based biomarker changes, and, as presented by our DO/Ph.D. student, Janiece, a profile of alpha synuclein oligomeric vs monomeric forms in the nigrostriatal pathway, wherein she showed inherent differences in their relative abundance between the striatum and substantia nigra.
